Pain Areas: Neck, lower.

Indication: Low back pain that may radiate through buttocks, pelvis, groin and front of the thighs; or neck pain that may radiate between the shoulder blades. Typically pain is worse in the morning and late in the evening, described as stiffness and is often aggravated by motion.

Consultation: Typically starts with a review of your medical history and a physical exam. Diagnosis is typically confirmed with an X-ray to identify loss of cartilage, degenerated discs, bone spurs and cysts.

Treatment: Avoiding certain activities, managing inflammation and pain through physical therapy, flexibility and weight management.
